Vodafone Freedom Pack – Rule the World

Advert: VODAFONE FREEDOM PACK – RULE THE WORLD
Music: JAMES BROWN – IF I RULED THE WORLD

There are three different Vodafone ads this summer featuring four versions of If I Ruled The World. This first ad features a daydreaming bloke behind a counter in a garage, and uses a version of the song by James Brown. The second, with a cap-wearing, lip-pierced Asian lad, uses Tom Jones. The third, featuring a sunbathing holidaymaker and her at-home boyfriend features both Dionne Warwick and Tony Bennett.

I think there must have been a party at the agency when they got this job.
Obscure to the point of WTF.

why oh why did anyone in their right mind let James Brown crucify this
song……or any other. Why did anyone in their right mind, use it for a
mind curdling, gut wrenching, nerve end screwing add. Then again it sums up Vodaphone……..I have one, and the Vodaphone shop at Crystal peaks, is as useless as the add………
