Hip hop musicians J Dilla and Madlib are Jaylib and “The Red” comes off the 2003 version of the album ‘Champion Sound’. “The Red” (2003) Contains samples of “Shine On, Straight Arrow” by Cris Williamson.
The 2007 version has a different beat due to sampling issues.
The Red is a reference to to the Max volume level to enjoy the music at it’s best. 🙂
