McDonald’s diner-style 1955 burger has already been a huge hit in Germany and elsewhere in Europe, and has now arrived in the UK. The wonderful Why Do Fools Fall in Love by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers wasn’t actually released until 1956, but we can probably overlook that. The song was featured in the 50s-set movie American Graffiti, and has been covered by the likes of Diana Ross and Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Frankie Lymon was only 13 when Why Do Fools Fall in Love first hit the top of the charts. Tragically, he lived a very short life, dying of a heroin overdose aged just 25.

@Cleftonefan Thanks for the information regarding the release date, but we think it does sound exactly like Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers’ hit single version.

@Cassie Sorry Cassie but that’s not right, the Overtones version is completely different.

The song was released in 1955, last week in December, but this doesn’t sound like Frankie Lymon or the Teenagers, at least it doesn’t sound like the hit single version.
