Advert: Co-operative Food – Homegrown
Music: Billy Cotton & His Band – The Marrow Song (Oh What A Beauty)
There’s nothing quite as satisfying as eating homegrown, says this ad for the Co-operative, where all beef, pork and chicken is reared on British farms to the company’s welfare standards. The ad, from Leo Burnett, is appropriately soundtracked by Billy Cotton’s The Marrow Song (Oh What A Beauty) from 1953. Billy Cotton also brought us the similarly innuendo-laden I’ve Got A Lovely Bunch of Coconuts. The Marrow Song is available to download from iTunes.
