HMV is back, and the revived retailer unveils its new logo and tagline in this 10-second ‘logo mnemonic’ ad, created by The Council and premiered during ITV’s The X Factor. The re-imagined logo has had an electronic neon makeoever, and the tagline is “home of entertainment since 1921”. The song used in the ad is Blue Monday by New Order. It’s the first time we can remember a New Order track appearing on an ad (excluding EnglandNewOrder’s World In Motion appearing on a Mars ad). You can download Blue Monday from iTunes.
