This Orange ad highlighting a free iTunes film download offer features a specially recorded orchestral version of Dick Dale & His Del Tones’ surf rock classic Misirlou, best known as the opening track from the Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction. The song isn’t a Dick Dale original – it’s a Greek standard dating back to the 1920s, but the Orange reworking uses Dale’s 1962 version as it’s template. The Dick Dale version is currently being used in the Maybelline One By One ad. The Orange version isn’t commercially available, but you can download the Dick Dale version using the links above.
