This latest ad for DFS sofas features a long-forgotten bubblegum pop song from 1971. “Would you like to be my orangutan?” the song asks, “I can be your big fat oranguman!” The track is Big Fat Oranguman by Jungle Jim. The song subsequently became a hit in Europe after being covered by artists including Glenmarks and Kikka. Jungle Jim’s version has been re-released to coincide with the ad, and is available to download from iTunes.
