IKEA – One Room Paradise

This IKEA TV ad shows a doll making the most of her room using space-saving solutions from the Swedish furniture store. The ad, created by the Mother agency, is certainly quirky, but it’s also pretty creepy. Is it just us or are the living dolls absolutely terrifying? Anyway, the song used in the ad is a cover version of Aretha Franklin’s One Room Paradise, performed here by Elayna Boynton, a US soul singer who previously featured on the Django Unchained movie soundtrack. Elayna’s version of One Room Paradise is available to download from iTunes.

I love this Ad! For the first time in adverts single mums are being shown in a fabulous light, having fun with their child. More like this please.

You are showing bad manners to children in this advert as in this country we do not drink out of cereal bowls,
we use a spoon whether it be cereals or soup. Drinks, such as milk are drunk from a glass or cup!
