This TV advert for Honda’s new CR-V 1.6 DTEC Diesel demonstrates that not everything is what it first seems via a series of eye-popping optical illusions, and it certainly warrants repeat viewings. The soundtrack is borrowed from the popular 1971 British crime movie Get Carter, starring Michael Caine. The soundtrack was composed by Roy Buddd, and this track is the main theme, Carter Takes a Train. It’s been re-recorded for the ad (as it was for the 2000 remake starring Sylvester Stallone). This version is by L’Orchestra Cinematique, and iv available to download from iTunes.

Real shame this re-mix as it’s really lame plus the Carter re-make with Stallone was appalling. Budd’s actual original is superb and as is stated worth the download, as is
the most successful cover version by BB Davis & The Red Orchidstra.
