A new Lloyds Bank TV ad is of great interest here at TV Ad Music following last year’s hugely popular 250th Anniversary ad, which was actually our number one ad of 2015. The black horse is back in the latest ad, but this time Lloyds looks forwards rather than back, showing how the bank can be there for important moments in life. The soundtrack is a piano cover version of the Tears For Fears song Mad World, performed by US-born, UK-based musician Jennifer Ann. The Tears For Fears original was released as a single in 1982, then on their debut album The Hurting in the following year. A cover by Michael Andrews and Gary Jules, recorded for the film Donnie Darko, was a number one hit in 2001.
