Aldi takes on John Lewis at its own game with this feelgood Christmas TV ad telling the festive tale of an animated carrot named Kevin, narrated by Jim Broadbent, and created by McCann UK. The music is John William’s Somewhere in My Memory, the main title track from Home Alone. So Kevin the Carrot shares a name and a soundtrack with Macaulay Culkin’s character from the 1990 Christmas classic movie. Kevin the Carrot will appear in Aldi stores as a limited edition soft toy, with proceeds going to Barnardo’s. The music track is available to download on iTunes.
