23andMe is a DNA testing service, which claims to provide information on ancestry, health, traits and more. This TV ad is soundtracked by the original version of the song Getting To Know You, from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical The King and I. The singer is Gertrude Lawrence, who played Anna in the original 1951 Broadway production. Tragically, Lawrence’s Broadway performances were restricted by ill health, and she died in the following year. Gertrude Lawrence’s version of Getting To Know You is available to download on iTunes.
