As the summer sun rises, scores of people are drawn to “la mer” – the sea – in this beach-set TV ad for H&M. The classic song is the pop-jazz standard La Mer by French chanteur Charles Trenet, which he wrote as a teenager during World War II and recorded and released in 1946.
