A woman who hates jet lag takes a night-time stroll around Hong Kong with the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the camera that adapts like your eye in this TV ad. The ad was produced by Biscuit Filmworks and director Isaiah Seret for the Wieden + Kennedy agency’s Portland team. The music track sounds frustratingly familiar, but is apparently a bespoke original. Several sources are wrongly crediting the track to Hong Kong rap band Youngqueenz, who are shown performing in the ad and have posted the ad on their Facebook page. But according to Samsung it is an original track specifically created for the ad by LA band Health, who have previously created music for movie and video game soundtracks, and recently released their latest album Disco3. Health have also worked with Purity Ring, and this track is certainly reminiscent of her sound. We are awaiting further details regarding the track credits and a possible download release, so watch this space. (Just to further complicate matters, in some territories including Spain (see below) this ad features a completely different track – Long Haul by Matthew Goodman and Matthew Bento.)
