In this advert, Nokia tells us that they echo our sentiments about today’s smartphones: that they don’t seem to be getting any smarter. They propose an alternative: Nokia smartphones. The advert then goes on to show how the brand is different: its personalised assistance, long battery life, and fast performance. The music that is played behind the narration is a track titled “Of the Mountains” by Dan Deacon. He is an American composer and electronic musician renowned for his live shows, where large-scale audience participation and interaction is often a major element of the performance.
