This Smirnoff advert’s titled is a play on the popular Christmas song “Silent Night.” It stars the American actress and LGBTQ+ advocate Laverne Cox. She is best known as Sophia Burset on the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black. The video starts with Cox in a suit, which she strips off, revealing herself in a bright red dress. She walks into a Gatsby-inspired party, where we see an abundance of the drink being advertised. The track in the advert is “Oops!” by Ella Fitzgerald & Louis Armstrong. It was released in 1956.
