This advert gives us a dramatised history of Smirnoff vodka. The movie-like advert reminiscent of the spy genre starts with how it fled Russia, captured in France, traded in secret and infiltrated Hollywood. The music in the advert is a cover of “Shimmy Shimmy Ya” by Ol’ Dirty Bastard. This cover is not officially released, but the original, which is part of the 1995 album “Return to the 36 Chambers” is available to download on iTunes.
