The aliens are waiting for a delivery in this Argos advert, with the ticking clock musical accompaniment provided by one of the most popular ‘pops orchestra’ pieces of recent times. The piece is The Syncopated Clock by Leroy Anderson, first recorded in 1950. US composer Anderson is probably best known by TV Ad Music fans for his piece Forgotten Dreams, which was used in a 3 Mobile advert in 2006. He also composed the Christmas favourite Sleigh Ride. The Syncopated Clock is available to download from iTunes.
