A new M&S TV ad always generates interest here at TV Ad Music, although this relatively dull effort seems unlikely to cause a server overload. Various key “pieces” from the Summer 2015 womenswear collection are presented in a dolls’ house set-up, as a cheeky bell-hop stumbles upon models in their lingerie. The song is Come Get It Bae by Pharrell Williams, from his album Girl. Based around a pretty juvenile innuendo-laden tale of “riding a motorcycle”, the song features an uncredited vocal appearance from Miley Cyrus. It was released as a single in May 2014, but failed to make the UK top 40. Williams and Robin Thicke were recently ordered to pay more than $7m to the family of Marvin Gaye for plagiarism. The family of Curtis Mayfield may want to have a listen to Come Get It Bae. If you want to listen to it, you can download Come Get It Bae from iTunes.
