Advert: Heinz – Squeeze and Stir Soups
Music: Bobby Day – Little Bitty Pretty One
Bobby Day wrote and recorded Little Bitty Pretty One in the mid-1950s, but didn’t have a hit with it. The song was popularised by Thurston Harris, who took it into the charts in 1957, and it was later covered by Frankie Lymon, the Jackson 5 and others. Bobby Day’s only hit as a performer was another song he wrote, Rockin’ Robin, also widely covered, most notably by Michael Jackson.
