This Co-operative Food Christmas TV ad, from Leo Burnett, invites customers to relax with Christmas just round the corner, and promotes the hashtag #relaxmas. The ad was shot in Timperley, Greater Manchester, home of the late, great Frank Sidebottom. The soundtrack is a re-record of the She & Him version of The Christmas Waltz. The song was originally released by Frank Sinatra in 1954, and has subsequently been covered scores of times, including in 2011 by She & Him, AKA Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward. The version used in the ad is a re-record of the She & Him cover. Re-records are often used in TV ads, for example where the rights to the original aren’t available, or where the original isn’t a good match for length or tempo.
