Advert: Giffgaff – Stay Because You Want To
Music: Siouxsie & The Banshees – Hong Kong Garden
A girl by a car in a field recites a poem about small being better than big and staying because you want to stay in this unusual retro-looking TV ad for the Giffgaff mobile phone network. The song that’s heard at the end of the ad with the Oriental-style riff is Hong Kong Garden by Siouxsie & The Banshees from the post-punk era of 1978, and one of the few songs of any era written about a Chinese takeaway. It’s available to download on iTunes.
